Received her M.A. in Modern Languages from Oxford University and her Ph.D. in history from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Sitman was the founder of the Spanish language program at Tel Aviv University, which she has coordinated for over 20 years. Her book, Victoria Ocampo y Sur: entre Europa y América, was published in Buenos Aires in 2003. Dr. Sitman also compiled, together with Prof. Raanan Rein, El primer peronismo: de regreso a los comienzos (Buenos Aires, 2005), and her anthology of the literary review Sur was published in Buenos Aires by Fundación Carolina in 2005. She has published extensively on Spanish language pedagogy, with special emphasis on classroom applications of the Internet and new technologies.
