Dear Governors and Friends,

Please accept our warm invitation to attend the 2012 International Board of Governors Meeting on the Tel Aviv University campus from June 7 to 11.

The current academic year has brought some exciting developments. The University opened the School of Neuroscience and approved the establishment of the School of Psychological Sciences. "TAU International" launched several new English-language degree programs, including Israel's first international BSc in Electrical Engineering. TAU won a partnership in the first three Israel Centers of Research Excellence – the only university in the country to be included in all three. And just recently we received the wonderful news that the law dean, Prof. Daphne Barak-Erez, has been appointed a justice of the Israeli Supreme Court.

We have also made strides in terms of governance and management. For the first time, the leadership of the University and of the Board of Governors have made it a priority to speak on a regular basis, share valuable input and meet face-to-face more often. These exchanges represent an important step toward bringing us closer to our goal of world-class academic excellence.

We look forward to discussing our many ideas and plans, and to celebrating University innovation, during the upcoming Board of Governors meeting.

Join us and take an active part in building Tel Aviv University's future.
